Young talent Thiru Veer and the ever-versatile Aishwarya Rajesh come together for the first time in a rustic village rom-com Oh..! Sukumari. The film also introduces Bharat Dharshan as a director with this debut venture. It is produced by Maheswara Reddy Mooli under the banner of Gangaa Entertainments, the same production house behind the critically acclaimed Shivam Bhaje. After revealing the first look of the lead actors, the makers have now dropped the film’s teaser.
The story follows a carefree village youth who is actively involved in local politics and dreams of marrying a sensible, soft-hearted girl. His life takes a turn when he meets Damini, and in an instant, he becomes convinced she is the one, immediately setting wedding plans in motion. However, her family hides a strange secret- anyone who touches her receives an electric shock.
Debutant director Bharat Dharshan blends village charm, local politics, and a quirky twist into a light-hearted narrative filled with humour and entertainment. Cinematographer CH Kushendar brings the rural backdrop to life with vibrant visuals, while composer Bharath Manchiraju elevates the mood with a lively, playful score. Art direction is handled by Thirumala M Thirupathi of Balagam fame, editing by Sree Varaprasad (Ka), costumes by Anu Reddy Akkati (Swayambhu), and lyrics by Purnachary.
Thiru Veer fits seamlessly into the role of a spirited village youngster with ambitions of his own, delivering strong comic timing. Aishwarya Rajesh appears as a village belle with a rebellious nature, carrying an intriguing twist to her character. The supporting cast includes Muralidhar Goud, Vishnu Oi (MAD fame), Jhansi, Amani, Anandhkota Jayaram, among others.
