For the past three-four years, filmmaker Pavan Sadineni has been experimenting on the OTT space, with successful ventures like Ee Office Lo, Commitmental, Senapathy and Dayaa. As he now makes the shift back to feature film space, working on multiple ideas, we have exclusively learnt that a whacky script has caught his attention so much so that he decided to bankroll it as a producer. The project will mark Pavan’s maiden tryst with film production.

A source close to the development tells us, “The untitled film will be a hilarious laugh riot from start to finish. It has been written by Kashyap Srinivas who made an interesting series called Breakup Consultant long ago. Pavan was both amazed and blown away by the script. It’s in a dark comedy space and is one-of-a-kind.”

The source adds, “Director-turned-actor Tharun Bhascker will be headlining the film, while JD Chakravarthy, with whom Pavan worked on the acclaimed series Dayaa, will be playing the antagonist. Both the actors were rolling in the aisles when they were given narrations and they had to stop the narration to catch their breath. Also, the narration was so clear that they could picture the film right in front of their eyes. As of now, the plan is to take the film to floors in May. The pre-production is in full swing. It will be predominantly shot in Hyderabad.”
