Allari Naresh is stepping back into the genre that made him a favourite among comedy lovers, this time with a fantasy-driven entertainer Ramba Oorvasi Menaka. Directed by Chandra Mohan Chintada, the movie brings together fantasy, humour and larger-than-life imagination in an unconventional setting. Produced by Razesh Danda and Nimmakayala Prasad under the Annapurna Studios and Hasya Movies banners, the film generated solid buzz through the first look, followed by chartbuster first single- Naa Kanti Meedha Kanule. The makers today, unveiled the film’s teaser, to introduce the world.
The teaser opens with a father introducing his son to a mysterious family magic book. He explains that drawing the right rangoli on top of it can summon the celestial beauties Ramba, Oorvasi, and Menaka from Indra’s realm to the mortal world. After 25 years of trying, the three divine beauties finally make their grand appearance. However, what initially seems like a dream come true soon turns into an unexpected predicament, as he realizes that handling the celestial trio is far more challenging than he ever imagined.
Allari Naresh is clearly in his elements, delivering a hilarious performance that looks tailor-made for him. Comedy, particularly when rooted in a rural setting, comes naturally to the actor, and this role appears to make the most of his strengths. Surabhi plays the leading lady, while Vennela Kishore adds to the fun as Indra. His comic timing gets an extra boost in the final sequence, where he delivers the iconic Kathanduko Janaki line associated with Krishnam Raju. Naresh VK plays Allari Naresh’s father, while Rashi Singh, Vishnupriya, and Prisha Singh portraying the celestial beauties look apt in their respective roles. The presence of Srinivas Reddy, Racha Ravi, and Muralidhar Goud further promises plenty of entertainment.
Director Chandra Mohan Chintada has struck the right balance between fantasy and comedy, shaping the film as an out-and-out entertainer. Cinematographer Raam Reddy effectively captures both the rustic rural backdrop and the grandeur of Indra Lokam, while art director Brahma Kadali complements the fantasy setting with his work. Music director Chaitan Bharadwaj’s lively score adds further energy to the proceedings, particularly the comic portions. Chota K Prasad handles the editing.
The movie is scheduled for a grand worldwide theatrical release on September 4. Going by the teaser, the film has managed to set the right expectations as a fun-filled fantasy comedy.
