HNG Cinemas LLP banner’s upcoming family entertainer “Sahakutumbaanaam”, written and directed by Uday Sharma and produced by Mahadev Goud and Nagaratna, is all set to hit theatres on January 1.

The film stars Ram Kiran and Megha Akash in the lead roles. Renowned actors Nata Kireeti Rajendra Prasad, Hasya Brahma Brahmanandam, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Satya, Rajashree Nair, Racha Ravi, Giridhar, Tagubothu Ramesh, Bhadram, and others play key roles.

Legendary music director Mani Sharma has composed the music, while Madhu Dasari handled cinematography. Editing is by Shashank Mali. Popular choreographer Ram Kiran is making his debut as a lead actor with this film.

As the release date approaches, hero Ram Kiran interacted with the media and shared his journey and experiences.

About His Background
Ram Kiran said dance has been his passion since childhood. Born and brought up in Bengaluru, he began performing dance during Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at a young age. Over time, his interest in dance grew along with his love for acting. He worked as a choreographer across several Indian film industries before deciding to follow his dream of becoming an actor.

How Sahakutumbaanaam Came His Way
He revealed that through contacts developed due to his interest in acting, he met director Uday Sharma. He was instantly impressed by the story and the hero’s character and decided to take up the film.

About His Role
Ram Kiran stated that his character is very different from regular hero roles. It has a psychological layer, creating curiosity and suspense among the audience.

About Megha Akash
Speaking about his co-star Megha Akash, Ram Kiran said he was pleasantly surprised by her humility despite having worked with many top stars across industries. He praised her discipline and support, adding that she constantly encouraged him and that he learned a lot from her.

Working With Senior Actors
He described acting alongside legends like Rajendra Prasad and Brahmanandam as a dream come true. For a debut hero, sharing screen space with such senior actors is a great fortune, he said, adding that he considers them as his mentors.

About Director Uday Sharma
Ram Kiran praised the director for being highly particular about the story and extremely disciplined. As this is Uday Sharma’s debut film, he handled the project with great dedication and attention to detail.

He appreciated HNG Cinemas LLP for their strong passion towards cinema. Though they come from other business backgrounds, they were deeply involved in every aspect of the film and treated him like a big hero, offering complete support throughout the project.

About Choreography
Ram Kiran clarified that he did not choreograph the songs himself, as he felt it would be risky for his debut film. He credited other choreographers for designing unique dance moves, especially a never-before scooter step, and expressed his gratitude to them.

Acting vs Choreography
He shared that while choreographing, he always imagined himself in the actor’s place, which helped him understand emotions better. He also underwent acting training, which helped him carry emotions effectively on screen.

Future Plans
Ram Kiran said he would never give up choreography, as dance is his lifelong passion. He also expressed interest in playing villain roles in the future and mentioned that he would continue exploring photography as well. He drew inspiration from choreographers who later became directors or actors.

About Music
He expressed his long-standing admiration for Mani Sharma, saying he had danced to many of his songs since childhood. Ram Kiran revealed that Mani Sharma agreed to compose music only after liking the story, and he believes the music will be a major strength of the film.

Audience Response
The film was recently screened for select family audiences. Ram Kiran shared that the response was overwhelming, with families stating that the film can be enjoyed together with children and that it beautifully highlights family values.
“Listening to their words made my eyes fill with tears. Their feedback gave me complete confidence in the film,” he said.

మీ నేపథ్యం ఏంటి?
నాకు చిన్నప్పటినుండి డాన్స్ అంటే ఎంతో ఇష్టం. మా నాన్నగారిది బెంగళూర్ కావడంతో నేను బెంగళూరులోనే పుట్టి పెరిగాను. అక్కడ గణేష్ చవితికి డాన్స్ చేయడం చిన్నప్పటినుండి అలవాటు. అలా పెరుగుతున్నకొద్ది డాన్స్ ఇంకా నటనపై ఇష్టం పెరుగుతూ వచ్చింది. కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా దేశంలోని ఎన్నో చిత్ర పరిశ్రమంలో కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా పనిచేశాను. నాకు హీరో అంటే చాలా ఇష్టం. అందుకే నటనపై ఉన్న మక్కువతో నటుడిగా మారాను.

సఃకుటుంబానాం చిత్రం మీ దగ్గరికి ఎలా వచ్చింది?
నాకు నటనపై ఉన్న మొక్కవో వల్ల కొన్ని పరిచయాలు ఏర్పడ్డాయి. తద్వారా ఈ చిత్ర దర్శకుడు ఉదయ్ శర్మ పరిచయమయ్యారు. ఈ చిత్ర కథ, చిత్రంలోని హీరో పాత్ర నచ్చడంతో ఈ సినిమాలో హీరో నటించాలని అనుకున్నాను.

ఈ సినిమాలో మీ పాత్ర ఎలా ఉండిపోతుంది?
ఈ సినిమాలో నా పాత్ర ఇప్పటివరకు ప్రేక్షకులు చూసిన హీరో పాత్రలలా కాకుండా కాస్త భిన్నంగా ఉంటుంది. కాస్త సైకాలజీకి సంబంధించిన పాత్ర కావడంతో ప్రేక్షకులకు నా పాత్ర పై ఉత్కంఠ ఉంటుంది.

ఈ చిత్రంలో హీరోయిన్గా నటించిన మెగా ఆకాష్ గారు గురించి చెప్పండి?
ఇప్పటికీ అనేక చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలలో ఎంతోమంది పెద్ద స్టార్ హీరోలతో నటించినప్పటికీ మేఘ ఆకాశ గారికి ఎటువంటి గర్వం లేకపోవడం నాకు ఆశ్చర్యాన్ని కలిగించింది. చాలా క్రమశిక్షణ కలిగిన వ్యక్తి ఆమె. నేను కొత్తవాడినప్పటికీ నాకు సపోర్టు ఇచ్చి ఆమె నన్ను ఎంకరేజ్ చేశారు. ఆమెను నేను చాలా నేర్చుకున్నాను.

చిత్రంలో ఎందరో ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన నటీనటులు ఉన్నారు. వారి గురించి చెప్పండి?
మా సినిమాలో నటకిరీటి రాజేంద్రప్రసాద్ గారు, హాస్యబ్రహ్మ బ్రహ్మానందం గారు వంటి సీనియర్ నటులతోపాటు మరికొందరు ప్రసిద్ధ నటీనటులు ఉన్నారు. వారందరితో నటిస్తున్నాను అనేది నాకు మొదట్లో ఒక కలగా అనిపించింది. ఒక తొలి హీరోకి ఇటువంటి సీనియర్ నటులతో కలిసి నటించడం అనేది గొప్ప అదృష్టంగా భావించాలి. వారి అందరి దగ్గర నుండి నేను ఎంతో నేర్చుకున్నాను. వారందరూ నాకు గురువుల వంటి వారు.

దర్శకుడు ఉదయ శర్మ గురించి చెప్పండి?
చిత్ర దర్శకుడు ఉదయ్ శర్మ కథ విషయంలో చాలా పర్టికులర్ గా ఉంటారు. ఎంతో క్రమశిక్షణ, పట్టుదల కలిగిన వ్యక్తి. ఈ సినిమా ఆయనకు మొదటి చిత్రం కావడంతో మరింత శ్రద్ధతో ఈ చిత్రాన్ని దర్శకత్వం చేశారు.

ఈ చిత్రానికి నిర్మాణ సంస్థ ఎంతవరకు సపోర్ట్ చేశారు?
హెచ్ ఎన్ జి నిర్మాణ సంస్థ వారికి సినిమాలు అంటే ఎంతో ప్యాషన్. వారు వేరే నిర్మాణ వ్యాపార రంగంలో ఉన్నప్పటికీ వారికి ఉన్న ప్యాషన్ వల్ల సినిమాల్లోకి వచ్చారు. కేవలం డబ్బులు పెట్టేవారిలా కాకుండా కాకుండా ప్రతి విషయంలోనూ వారు ముందుండి సినిమాను ముందుకు తీసుకువెళ్లారు. ఒక పెద్ద స్థాయి హీరోను ఎలా ట్రీట్ చేస్తారో నన్ను కూడా అలాగే చేశారు.

మీ చిత్రానికి కొరియోగ్రఫీ మీరే చేశారా?
లేదు, తొలి చిత్రంలోని కొరియోగ్రఫీ చేయడం రిస్క్ అనిపించింది. అందుకే వేరే కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ల సహాయం చేసుకుని ఈ చిత్రంలో నేను డాన్స్ చేశాను. స్కూటర్ పై చేసే స్టెప్ ఇంతవరకు ఎవరు ఎప్పుడు ఎక్కడ చేయలేదు. అటువంటి స్టెప్స్ నాకు కొరియోగ్రఫీ చేసినందుకు నా కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ మాస్టర్లకు నేను కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలుపుకుంటున్నాను.

కొరియోగ్రఫీతో పోలిస్తే నటన ఎలా అనిపించింది?
నేను ఎవరికి కొరియోగ్రఫీ చేసినా కూడా వారి ప్లేస్ లో నన్ను ఊహించుకుని చేశాను. తద్వారా వారి ఎమోషన్ కూడా నేను క్యారీ చేయగలనని ఒక నమ్మకం. అంతేకాక కొద్ది కాలం పాటు నేను యాక్టర్ గా శిక్షణ పొందాను. ఆ విధంగా నాకు ప్రతి ఎమోషన్ క్యారీ చేయడం అర్థమైంది.

మీరు సినిమాలలో నటుడిగా కొనసాగుతారా లేదా కొరియోగ్రాఫర్ గా కొనసాగుతారా?
నాకు ఎంత వయసు వచ్చినా కూడా కొరియోగ్రఫీ నేను వదులుకోను. నా చిన్నప్పటినుండి నేను ఎంతో కష్టపడి నేర్చుకున్న డాన్స్ అది. నాకు సాధారణంగా విలన్ పాత్రలు అంటే చాలా ఇష్టం. భవిష్యత్తులో అటువంటి పాత్రలు వస్తే కచ్చితంగా నటిస్తాను అలాగే ఫోటోగ్రాఫర్ గా కూడా సాగుతాను. తెలుగు చిత్ర పరిశ్రమలో ఇప్పటికే కొంతమంది కొరియోగ్రాఫర్లు దర్శకులుగా మారారు. అలాగే నేను నటుడిగా మారాను. ఒకే వ్యక్తి వేరు వేరు పనులు చేయడం చాలా కష్టం, అటువంటి కొరియోగ్రాఫర్లు నాకు ఇన్స్పిరేషన్.

చిత్రంలోని సంగీత గురించి చెప్పండి?
మా చిత్రానికి మణిశర్మ గారు సంగీతం అందించారు. ఆయనంటే నాకు చిన్నప్పటినుండి ఎంతో అభిమానం. ఆయన పాటలకు నేను ఎన్నోసార్లు డాన్సులు వేశాను. అటువంటి వ్యక్తి అతడు చిత్రానికి సంగీతం అందిస్తున్నారు అని తెలిసినప్పుడు నేను ముందుగా నమ్మలేకపోయాను. ఆయనకు చిత్ర కథ నచ్చితేనే సంగీతం అందిస్తారు. మా సినిమా ఆయనకు నచ్చి ఇచ్చిన సంగీతం సినిమాకు మరింత ప్లస్గా నిలుస్తుంది అని ఆశిస్తున్నాను.

సినిమా ఎవరికైనా చూపించారా?
ఇప్పటికే సినిమాను కొంతమంది ఫ్యామిలీస్ కు ప్రీమియర్స్ వేయడం జరిగింది. వారి దగ్గర నుండి అద్భుతమైన స్పందన లభించింది. కుటుంబ సమేతంగా పిల్లలతో కలిసి సఃకుటుంబానాం చిత్రం చూడొచ్చని, కుటుంబ విలువలు పెంచే చిత్రం అని వారు అన్నారు. వారు మాపై చూపించిన ప్రేమకు మా కంట్లో నీళ్లు తిరిగాయి. వారి మాటలు విన్నాక నాకు సినిమా పై పూర్తి నమ్మకం వచ్చింది.
