Prabhas-starrer Salaar is one of the hotly anticipated releases of the year. While it has been delayed by multiple times, the excitement surrounding it hasn’t diminished a wee bit. The fact that it brings together the combination of a star power like Prabhas and a director of Prashanth Neel’s caliber meant the anticipation around the release is sky-high.

In this regard, the release trailer of Salaar, which the makers of the film dropped on Monday, had done a trick or two in boosting the advance ticket sales by a big margin. Coming to advance sales in the USA, there’s a huge gap between Salaar and Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Dunki, with the former emerging miles ahead of the latter. Salaar premiers from 472 locations has garnered the distributors $1.2 million, while Dunki, from 447 locations, stood at $ 267k.

Elsewhere in the Telugu states, the advance bookings are yet to open as the governments of both the states are yet to nod to spike in ticket prices and additional screening slots. However, when tickets are up for grabs, sales might see an unprecedented rush given the hype and hoopla surrounding the movie.

With an astounding budget, Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire, also featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruthi Haasan, Eshwari Rao, Jagapathi Babu, Sriya Reddy and Madhu Guruswamy, stands tall among the biggest Indian films ever made, paralleling titles like Baahubali, KGF series and RRR. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur, the big-budget action adventure is the first part of the pan-India film series
