As promised vintage Prabhas is here to steal your hearts and make you root for him as he navigates the complexities of a haunted mansion while sandwiched between multiple romantic interests in the teaser of The Rajasaab, which promises a delightful blend of laughter and chills with a spooky twist.
Clocking in at under two-and-a-half minutes, the teaser opens with a haunted mansion in the middle of a forest, with Sanjay Dutt’s character, in a voice-over, stating that the mansion is equivalent to his body and the wealth it possesses is his life. “Even after my death, I will continue to enjoy this wealth,” he declares. Enters Prabhas as supernatural elements dot the narrative. He is a laidback and chilled out guy who wants things to move at a nominal speed. “Hello, bandi konchem mellaga,” he says in a tone that we missed for so long. He has a romantic interest. Not one. But two (played by Nidhhi Agerwal and Malavika Mohanan). The scene shifts back to the haunted mansion as Thaman’s electrifying score amps the stakes. We finally get to see the visual of Khalnayak Sanjay Dutt while Prabhas’s role is perplexed with what’s happening in and around the mansion. So are we! What begins out as harmless fun rapidly escalates into a terrifying rollercoaster of ghostly encounters and bizarre incidents, all wrapped in droves of laughs.
To sum it up, the teaser doesn’t give away much about the complete storyline but drops enough hints about the film’s intention to combine supernatural themes with tropes of comedy and action. And now that’s a deadly combination and with Maruthi already delivering a super hit in the form of Prema Katha Chitram more than a decade back, we can count on him. From start to end, every segment of The Rajasaab teaser keeps you invested and you can see Maruthi is fully committed to the concept and it came through. The entire spotlight is on darling aka The Rebel star and he doesn’t disappoint. From a playful accent to his character’s idiosyncrasies, he is back to being the Prabhas before Baahubali. His character is central to the storyline, steering both the horror-driven and comedic aspects of the plot. For Sanjay Dutt to sparkle, just a shot of his was enough. The production values are on an epic scale with top-notch CGI. We just can’t wait for December 5 to come early.
Also featuring Riddhi Kumar, Boman Irani, Samuthirakani, Saptagiri, VTV Ganesh and a host of others, The Rajasaab is a production venture of People Media Factory.
