Thug Life is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year by Indian cinema lovers. Starring Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan and directed by legendary filmmaker Mani Ratnam, this high-octane gangster drama is set for a grand theatrical release tomorrow (June 5). The promotional content released so far has received a tremendous response. The teaser and trailer have created a nationwide sensation, further raising anticipation for the film. Coming from Raj Kamal International Films, which delivered those blockbusters, expectations are that Thug Life will complete a hat-trick of hits for the production house.
Alongside Kamal Haasan, Simbu also stars in the film. Despite being busy with his own projects, Simbu chose to be part of Thug Life out of admiration for Mani Ratnam and Kamal Haasan. Reports suggest his character will be one of the film’s highlights. Trisha, who made a strong comeback with Ponniyin Selvan, plays a unique role she has never attempted before, adding more intrigue to the project.
A.R. Rahman’s music is expected to elevate Thug Life to the next level—no surprises there, considering the magic the Mani Ratnam–Rahman duo has created in the past. Now, they are set to recreate that magic once again.
