Rocking Star Yash’s Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups has maintained a strong momentum at the box office, collecting ₹41 crore net in India on its second day across all languages except English. With this, the Geetu Mohandas directorial has taken its two-day India net collection to ₹149 crore, marking a strong start for the much-awaited Yash starrer.
What makes the Day 2 performance particularly noteworthy is that the second day fell on a regular working day. Despite the expected impact of a working weekday, Toxic managed to register a ₹41 crore net collection across India, reflecting sustained audience interest following its massive ₹108 crore opening day.
The film’s performance comes on the back of a strong response from audiences, particularly in mass centres, where Yash’s larger-than-life presence, action sequences, attitude and intense portrayal of Raya and Ticket have emerged as major talking points. His fresh avatar in Toxic has continued to connect with audiences, helping the film maintain momentum beyond its opening day.
The film’s layered storytelling and ambitious treatment have also contributed to its audience appeal.
