Under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, the Telangana State Government continues to prioritize the development of sports through its ambitious Sports Policy 2025. With a vision to nurture grassroots talent and build a thriving ecosystem free from political interference, the Government has now taken a major step by forming the Board of Governors for the Telangana Sports Hub.
In a notable appointment, Upasana Kamineni Konidela, Managing Director of UR Life and Vice Chairperson of CSR of Apollo Hospitals, has been named Co-Chairman of the Board. A prominent entrepreneur and wellness advocate, Upasana has been actively involved in health, fitness, and youth-focused initiatives. Her inclusion reflects the Government’s progressive approach in blending wellness and holistic development with sports excellence.
Upasana’s leadership is expected to bring valuable perspectives on athlete welfare, sports education, and sustainable development. Her involvement will play a key role in helping Telangana emerge as a leading hub for national and international sporting excellence.
This initiative focuses on promoting Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) by inviting reputed corporate entities and eminent personalities with proven expertise in the field of sports and administration. The Board will oversee the Telangana Sports Development Fund (TSDF), ensuring transparent and impactful utilization of resources.
