While Vijay Deverakonda’s flick with Gowtam Tinnanuri went to floors first last year with a brief schedule in Hyderabad, it later had to give precedence to Parasuram’s Family Star as the film was eyeing a Sankranti release. Not wanting to waste time in the meanwhile, Gowtam embarked on making an ambitious musical with young faces and it looks like he has completed the shoot, as its first look was unveiled by the makers on Monday.

Now the question looms: when will Deverakonda begin Gowtam’s flick? In fact, the same was popped up by a fan to producer Naga Vamsi on X as he unveiled the first look of Gowtam’s musical on Monday. Vamsi, in addition to producing Deverakonda and Gowtam’s flick, is also producing Gowtam’s musical, which is titled Magic. Answering the question, Vamsi said, “#VD12 shoot will resume once Family Star shoot is over.”

A little birdie tells us that after returning from the US last month, Family Star has quickly jumped into the Hyderabad leg and the filming is now in its last leg. The makers are optimistic of completing the film by February fourth week or Feb-end and dive into promotions with the release of the first single in the same month itself. With Jr NTR-starrer Devara, more or less, postponed from April 5th, Family Star is looking to occupy the same slot although an official confirmation from the makers is awaited.

In #VD12, Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati girl Rukmini Vasanth is said to be playing the female lead role, while Anirudh will be composing the music.
