Vijay Deverakonda is right now in the midst of filming of Gowtam Tinnanuri’s next. He will be associated with the film until the year-end before he dives into Rahul Sankrityan’s next after Sankranti. It’s likely that he will begin Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru fame Ravi Kiran Kola’s next, which Dil Raju and Sirish will produce, in the second half of next year.
In a recent interview, Ravi opened up on what went into the writing of #VD15. “Irrespective of day and night, I’ve dedicated my life to the film’s script. Vijay will be playing a strong and intense character. I’ve written it like, ‘What if a fictional character is told in a biopic format?’ Many times we get stuck during the writing stage at a particular point; we feel like running away from it. During the first one-two years I felt it was not working out but I took a lot of time to finish the script. Once I completed it and later had a look, I was joyous.”
The untitled film is a period rural action drama set in the backdrop of local politics. A majority of the supporting cast will include fresh faces, while Rukmini Vasanth is attached to be the leading lady.
Sharing the poster of this film on his 35th birthday earlier this May, Vijay wrote on X, “The blood on my hands is not of their death, but of my own rebirth.”
