Kangana Ranaut to star in a film based on Ayodhya Ram Mandir? Vijayendra Prasad clarifies

Vijayendra Prasad, one of the most-sought out writers across industries, is working on several projects beyond his son SS Rajamouli’s action adventure with Mahesh Babu - SSMB 29. Commemorating the Ram Mandir consecration, the star writer shared interesting updates on his upcoming projects.

The writer-director revealed that there will definitely be a film based on the construction of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir in the coming years. “I have written the script already. The story will unfold between the demolition of the Babri Masjid and the construction of the Ram Mandir,” he said.

He has already narrated the script to Kangana Ranaut recently and mentioned that an update around its progress will be intimated soon. A major production house is expected to back the film. As announced in the past, he has also written a story based on the origins of the RSS and plans to direct it as well.

“The film about RSS is happening soon and I will direct it. I have already sought permission from Mohan Bhagwat about it. The subject truly inspired me. It won’t be like a documentary at all. It’ll have all commercial ingredients to appeal a mass audience,” he said.

The veteran, who’s also part of the Rajya Sabha, asserted that he’s not affiliated with any political party, indicating he has kept his political beliefs to himself. While he wasn’t invited for the Ram Mandir consecration, he said that Chiranjeevi was the right choice to represent Telugu cinema at the event.

On the work front, several Hollywood banners are in talks for a mythological film he has written, Sita and the lead actress of the multilingual project would be confirmed shortly. Moreover, he has narrated the script for the sequel of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to Salman Khan and the star is yet to take a call on its commencement.
