NATS Sambaralu 2015 team in Southern California has concluded women’s throwball and men’s volleyball competitions over the weekend. With an overwhelming response from locals, the event was graced with more than 800 players and volunteers across Southern California. 50+ men’s volleyball teams and 20+ women’s throwball teams have competed fiercely and have demonstrated extreme sportsmanship in all games. More than 150+ volunteers have helped make this event a grand success.

Women’s throwball competitions were the central attraction to the sports meet. Fullerton Team Lagaan and Torrance Team Titans, Irvine Seematapakayalu and Torrance Terrific teams have reached semifinals. The semi-finals have attracted lots of crowds and the entire matches left nail biting experiences for all the audience. Most games had a single point variance that decided the winners.

Throwball Finals were played between Fullerton Team Lagaan – led by Subhadra Kankipati and Torrance Team Titans – led by Aasha Shastry. In a best of 3 nail biting series, Fullerton Team Lagaan has evolved victorious with 2-0. Aasha Shastry has congratulated Fullerton Team Lagaan and has appreciated the sportsmanship demonstrated by her team mates. Subhadra Kankipati addressed the crowd and thanked them for the support and congratulated the team for remaining undefeated throughout the competitions. Fullerton Team Lagaan was declared the regional champions for throwball. Irvine Seematapakayalu has retained third place and the team captain Shoba Kalvakota has congratulated all the teams and has appreciated NATS for providing all women a platform to come together, compete and have fun while they are at it.

Men’s volleyball competitions had a different following among the crowds. Four teams – LA Avengers, Arcadia Royals, Telugu Boys, and <fourth team> have reached semifinals. Every point win had rallies and the games have consumed the entire day. Kids were found cheer leading for their dads playing the games while the fathers have demonstrated killer instinct while progressing towards finals.

నాట్స్ సంబరాలు 2015 టీమ్ నిర్వహించిన మహిళల త్రోబాల్, పురుషుల వాలీబాల్ పోటీలు అట్టహాసంగా ముగిశాయి. సదరన్ కాలిఫోర్నియాలో జరిగిన ఈ పోటీల్లో ఫులెర్టాన్ టీమ్ లగాన్ అండ్ టొరాన్స్ టీమ్ టైటాన్స్, ఇర్విన్ సీమటపాకాయలు అండ్ టొరాన్స్ టెర్రిఫిక్ టీమ్స్ సెమీఫైనల్ కు చేరుకున్నాయి. ఒక్క పాయింట్ తేడాతో గెలిచిన జట్లే ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నాయంటే.. పోటీలు ఎంత ఉత్కంఠభరిత వాతావరణంలో సాగాయో అర్థం చేసుకోవచ్చు. మహిళల త్రోబాల్ పోటీలు ఈవెంట్ కే సెంటర్ ఆఫ్ అట్రాక్షన్ గా నిలిచాయి. 800 మందికి పైగా ఆటగాళ్లు, వాలంటీర్లు పాల్గొన్న ఈ ఆటలపోటీలకు సదరన్ కాలిఫోర్నియాలోని స్థానికుల నుంచి బ్రహ్మాండమైన స్పందన లభించింది. ఈ పోటీల్లో 50కి పైగా వాలీబాల్ టీమ్స్, 20కి పైగా త్రోబాల్ టీమ్స్ పోటీపడ్డాయి. ఈవెంట్ ను విజయవంతం చేయడానికి 150కి పైగా వాలంటీర్లు సహాయ సహకారాలు అందించారు.

మహిళ త్రోబాల్ ఫైనల్స్ లో ఫులెర్టాన్ గెలుపొందింది. ఫులెర్టాన్ టీమ్ లగాన్ సారథిగా సుభద్ర కంకిపాటి, టొరాన్స్ టీమ్ టైటాన్స్ కు ఆశా శాస్త్రి కెప్టెన్ గా వ్యవహరించారు. ఈ రెండు జట్ల మధ్య జరిగిన పోటీలో ఫులెర్టాన్ టీమ్ లగాన్ 2-0 తేడాతో గెలిచి రీజనల్ ఛాంపియన్స్ గా నిలిచింది. ఈ విజయానికి కారకులైన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికి కృతజ్ఞతలు తెలిపారు సుభద్ర కంకిపాటి. ఇక శోభా కల్వకోట సారథ్యంలోని ఇర్విన్ సీమటపాకాయలు టీమ్ మూడో స్థానంలో నిలిచింది.

ఇక వాలీబాల్ పోటీలో భాగంగా లాస్ ఏంజెల్స్ అవెంజర్స్, ఆర్కాడియా రాయల్స్, తెలుగు బాయ్స్ తో పాటు మరో జట్టు సెమీ ఫైనల్స్ కు చేరుకున్నాయి. ఇందులో లాస్ ఏంజెల్స్ అవెంజర్స్, ఆర్కాడియా రాయల్స్ మధ్య ఫైనల్ మ్యాచ్ జరిగింది. ఈ మ్యాచ్ లో లాస్ ఏంజెల్స్ అవెంజర్స్ విజేతగా నిలవడంతో పాటు రీజనల్ వాలీబాల్ చాంపియన్స్ టైటిల్ ను సొంతం చేసుకుంది. పిల్లలు చీర్ లీడర్స్ గా ఉంటూ ఉత్సాహాన్నివ్వగా, స్థానికులు కూడా ఎంకరేజ్ మెంట్ అందించారు. పోటీల ముగింపు సందర్భంగా నాట్స్ సంబరాలు ఎగ్జిక్యూటివ్ డైరెక్టర్ శ్రీ వెంకట్ ఆలపాటి.. త్వరలో జరిగే నాట్స్ సంబరాలకు ప్రతి ఒక్కరు రిజిస్టర్ చేసుకోవాలని, ఈవెంట్ ను గ్రాండ్ సక్సెస్ చేయాలని కోరారు. వచ్చే నెల అనహేం కన్వెన్షన్ సెంటర్ లో జరిగే సంబరాలు-2015 కోసం ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా 8వేల మంది తెలుగు వాళ్లని ఒక చోటకు చేర్చబోతోంది నాట్స్.
