8th December i was just reading Savitri's bio-data, and one thing didn't make sense to me, and thought i would ask you about it. in the last paragraph, you say that her last screen appearance was in 1985 with film 'Andarikante Monagadu', but then in the very next sentence it says that she gave her life away on December 26th, 1981. how can she appear on screen in 1985, but die in 1981? was the film shot before she died, but did not release till 1985. just checking to make sure this isn't a typo. -prasanth
7th December The article on Ghantasala was utterly in poor taste and I do not know who wrote it but he/she did compose the main article with half or rather no interest at all. Ghantasala is known as the "Amara gayakudu" ...one on whose tongue the goddess of learning and music "Saraswati" herself reigned! To potray him in some three small paragraphs for name sake is really equivalent to ill treating him. You would have been better off without contributing anything at all. Saying that he is mainly known for his love songs is a matteer of shame on the part of the idiot who has written this!!! Who could have sung the song the best onin Jagadeka veeruni katha that was picturised on "5 NT rama Raos", who else can sing the song invocating Saraswati as in Jaya Bheri!!! Ghantasala is unique and will be the king of kings forever. No SPB or any other xxxxx singing in today's telugu songs could rise to that level of singing....!!! Finally, if you can't find the enough stuff to write please do some research by all means. Some great sould will never come back you idiot. -Phani Madhav

27th November Your site is very good. I used to visit when ever my brian is idle. No film review after Tenali ?? One suggestion when you rate the films please try to give more weightage for commercial success of the film. Tammudu a major hit was given 4.5 same as Krishna babu. To my knowledge Tammudu is very big commercial success compared with Krishna Babu. In my view, unless the rating reflects the commercial success, it cannot be a correct indicator. May be, you would like to give one more rating called "commercial rating", where you can discuss the commercial aspects of the film like - expected collection, approxmate costs incurred, expected collections in view of the competing films, impact on the time of release (festival season etc.,) A gossip for Idle brian (Just kidding, no hard feelings please ) A Noted industrialist, cine producer - "Mr. Rao" (a Rao O neenu cheppanu, naku telidu kabatti) - is going to buy Telugu cinema portal Idealbrian.com Accoriding to the relaible sources - all the paper work is completed and the deal is struct at a whooping Rs 50 crore. Sources in film industry say that with this deal Mr. Rao is all set to enter in a big way into the Telugu Cine Magazine businnes. This is deal is expected to place the Telugu portal Idlebrain.com on par with popluar Telgu cine magazines like Sitara, JyothiChitra etc. - Ivaturi Raju

11th November I read the story about Kanchana very late. I happened to see her during the shooting of a telugu TV serial 'Suprabhatam' some where in 1988. 24th October it is a very good site and we have got a lot of interesting things/facts in the site. Firstly lemme appreciate you for the efforts and aesthatic sense of (all) the contributors. I have just visited the site and I was reading the nostalgia item - MayaBazaar... where I found some names of the characters of the film were mis-spelt and I donno whether we can find some more in the site. With the impression I have got while my visit and with the mis-spelts I have seen...when I saw 'Do have suggestions..' link, I wanted to share my feelings with you. Things like Relangi - Laman Kumarudu (laxmana kumarudu) R Nageshwara rao - Dusvasanudu (dussaasanudu) can be corrected and it will be more enjoyable... Please take care of such small things and the site will be even more perfect and enjoyable....(reading should be a joy.. already it's been superbly maintained with this quality...) 5th October this is a great effort in " enlightining " the present generation regarding the best all time ever greats of telugu film history i.e the one and only MAYABAZAR - all the important facts were almost covered - how ever the following facts also should have been worth mentioning : the story of maya bazar is not actually available neither in MAHA BHARATAM OR MAHA BHAGAVATAM OR VISHNU PURAM - but it is a brain baby of SASHI REKHA PARINIYAM drama. It was indeed the greatest ever screen play and script of SUPER DIRECTOR KV REDDY and SUPREME WRITER PINGALI NAGENDRA RAO of this story which never had any place in any ITHIHASAM , but produced as if it was a REAL PART of MAHABHARATAM. for the 1st time in telugu cinema history the art director madhava peddi gokhale`s ( luckily happens to be my uncle ) talent was extended to design the skecthes on the potritats for the mater peices like GHATOTHKACHA`S KEEREETAM, NTR`S KEERITAM,( which NTR retained the same design through out his carrer of KRISHNA`S ROLE - admiring the LUCKY HASTA VASI DESIGN OF madhavapeddi gokhale) the SATYA PEETHAM, THE PRIYA DARSINI, THE RADAR DRUM etc before finalising and ordering those peices and also the sketches were drawn as trails before aprooving the makeup to the main artists The camera work showing lot of special effects like FOOD SWALLOWING OF ghatoth kacha, the MAYAS OF CHINNA MAYA , the fights, the RADAR DRUM SIGNALLING, THE PRIYA DARSINI LIVE COVERAGE in 1957 screen is just astonishing. hence undoubtedly MAYABAZAR is the cinema of the millenieum -Madhava peddi kalidas

29th september If you don't mind, we don't need any of this rubbish that passes off as scoop. If this is journalism, then god save telugu cinema journalism. I am not against scoops but if you read whatever you have written, I am sure you will yourself understand that there is no scoop there, just a lot of rumour and innuendo that arrives at no conclusion whatsoever. By the way Hritik & Amita were never a "team" to begin with, there was no love lost between them during the shooting of KHPH as Amita felt Hritik was getting more prominence than she was in the film. Hritik and Sanjay Khan (Tipu Sultan fame)'s daughter Suzanne were and still are a "team" and Sanjay Khan's company is designing and maintaining Hritik's website. Hence, there is no question of Pavan putting an end to any "Hritik-Amisha Syndrome". Please also look up the definition of syndrome in the dictionary. It is not a word that can be used in the context of the sentence you wrote. There is enough heartburn among your readers about the kind of nonsense that passes off as journalism in many of the telugu cinema sites like xxx, xx, xxxx, xxxx, etc. Since we have no other venue on these other sites to vent our feelings, we have been doing so at the discussion link of telugucinema.com. I was under the impression that TC and IB were sister sites and one would learn from our discussions at that site. However, if there is no relation between the two, then I aplogise for the assumption. Nevertheless, I suggest you go through the discussions at that site, especially under the link "How is the movie Badri" to understand how your readers feel. No hard feelings. This is just a suggestion that you need not necessarily take to heart. 31st July Please excuse me for a Long Note: I think Sapna's rating is pretty good. I am looking for such a review guide for all our Indian Movies in last 50 years on a scale of 1 to 4. Such as Leonard Martin's Hollywood Movie Review guide (I have been buying it every year since 1985) OR San Jose Mercury news paper Friday's Eye section Hollywood Movie reviews * to ** stars. Most of our Indian movies are 3 hr. long. Ten minutes story line stretches up to 3 hr. like an elastics. Most of the songs lyricist has no connection with the main scripts. Screenplay goes from outdoor songs sequences to Indoor setting without any connection with the story line and vice a versa. I would love to watch Indian Movies if it were nicely made i.e. strong scripts (Unpredictable scripts - heart of the movie), good strong Direction and of course Acting. I would never miss Movies made by good Director i.e. Shyam Benagle, Hrishikesh Mukherji, Bimal Roy, Raj Kapoor, Satyajit Ray, Tarachand Barjatya or Basu Chatterji. For me Money is no object if I can get Good and Dependable Indian Movie Review Guide with 1 to 4 Scale RATINGS system. Time is Money and when you spend 3 Hr. to watch any Indian Movie, make sure it is entertaining, enjoyable and stays in your Memory for long time. Why don't Indian Movie Director makes only 2 hr. or less long Movie. I have seen all Hollywood Academy Award winner/nominated Movies since 1927 - Wings, All Quite on the Western Front, when the Academy Award ceremony started. I would love to do the same for Indian Movies. Please late me know the good WEB site which has such rating system. Rating shows the QUALITY of the Movie but at the same time it is also important 'Who has Rated the Movie ?'. 27th May I am Vijayarao Veerla from HK. I read your review of Sakhi and later saw the movie Alaipayuthe. Your review fits the bill. Its a decent movie with Manirathnam's touch. Here we do not get Telugu VCDs/Cassettes. We have several Tamil, Malayalam stores that sell/rent their movies. Our Telugus are poor supporters of our movies. They do not create market by creating such demands on our movies. Our weakness in supporting our own has its reflection in such things. I do not rue the fact but adjust by viewing the Tamil equivalent of our movies. Perhaps USA is the only exception where our new crop of young IT professionals, who are thousands in number, create good demand for our flavours in US. - Vijaya Rao

18th feb Ur filmography on NTR is excellent. Good collection. Keep it up. Some of my doubts regarding this: In Sri Venkateswara Mahatyam u mentioned only Savitri as heroine. But S. Varalakshmi is also there apart from Savithri. For Sri Krishnarjuna Yuddam, u mentioned B. SarojaDevi as heroine. But she is heroine for ANR(as Arjuna), not for NTR(as Krishnudu). Jr. Sriranjani played as Rukmini and S. Varalakshmi played as Satyabhama. -Maruthi.
14th Feb Malaysian Telugus feel extremely sad and dissapointed at the infiltration of non-telugus be it story, direction, actresses, character actresses, music directors, to the Telugu film industry. Sometimes there is nothing to say that it is telugu except perhaps the miain actor and the language. Unfortunately the reverse is not taking place. It is sad with 80 million population we still cannot exhibit our capabilities. We believe that there must be a concerted effort both the media and webmasters like you to correct the situation. 9th feb In my opinion even Thgammudu is not a class movie. It is also a mass movie like Rajakumarudu. the reason for huge success of RK wrt Tammudu is Manisharma's music. RK songs can be enjoyed even by listening once. where asThammudu's song(music Raman Gogula) can be understood only after listening couple of times(3 or 4). Because of that RK was a bigger hit compared to Thammudu. Thanks - Sai
9th feb I have been visiting your site for the latest update on the Tollywood. The site is refreshingly new, and the daily updates are excellent. I have one question: How come 'KR' Kalisundaam Raa does not figure in your audio top 10? One more suggestion: When you give your ratings for moview, you need to give it department wise and then average it. Say if you have six parameters you use to evaluate a movie: Direction (scale of 1-5), Music (1-5), choreography (1-5), Story (1-5), Main charcters acting (1-5), screen play/photography (1-5). Then average all of these will give you the overall rating. For example for Annayya, my rating will be as follows: Parameter Rating Direction : 2/5 Music: 4/5 Choreo: 4/5 Story 2/5 Acting: 4/5 Photo: 4/5 So average overall for the movie: 3.33/5 I would like to put these ratings in the web site for each review. For a better review, I would add lot more parameters above like Comedy, Treatment, etc... Just a suggestion (we use similar grid level ratings in market surveys, thought it might be useful here). 27th jan This weekly trend analysis does not give a right picture of anything, i think. You need to give a consolidated trend say, the graph w.r.t. the fluctuation of collections over the weeks for various films. Your representation doesn't address any purpose, as we cannot compare collections between two films because they are in different weeks and it wouldn't be wise to say that Oke okkadu has only 8% share. 18th Jan this is in response to your comments about kalisundam ra and anayya. it seems that you are a fan of venki. thaks for that. see man, u wrote about few double meaning dialouges in annayya, which you told are unnecessary. but u feel that maid going in to vekys bathroom and seeing him there and dialouges after that like what you have seen there by simran , answer from maid i have seen all except face are necessary and they are not vulgur. 28th dec The Website WWW.IDLEBRAIN .COM is really very good. As a end user and programmer I have a few suggestions for the Website. I think for the Daily news section we can have an Applet, where the news could be seen scrolling. U could have used other 'Font Type' and 'Font Size' which would have made this page look better and more readable. Now the page looks very stuffed and the reader is confused as to where he should go first.Use of colours for different topics would also be helpful. On the left side of the Page where we have links,it would be better if we have buttons or mouse over java script or Collate functions so that the additional text is not displayed . Ex:If we move the move against HOME it should show us WELCOME ABROAD and the things like that... The Links given below (At the end of the page) are very small and are in small cases.It would be better if they were in Upper case and arranged in a pyramidal manner.This draws the users attraction and it becomes easy to navigate. The data collected by you and the data base you maintain is really commendable and very massive. I saw the name of the film's producer, director etc etc, but the most important feature of the audio section viz.. the music director is missing.
