Story

Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha reviewAnil (Sumanth Ashwin) is a happy go lucky guy from a town. Ananya (Eesha) is an independent girl from Hyderabad whose parents are going through arguments. Anil and Ananya meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and become friends. Ananya is good with creative greeting cards. Anil has some business ideas and they start a new company and they fall in love. But both of them are afraid of committing to each other due to the experience of their parents. Hence they want to test their compatibility by living together in a secret place. The rest of the story is all about what they learn from it.

Artists Performance

Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha reviewActors: Sumanth Ashwin is natural in his performance. He is quite good in intense scenes and pretty casual when scene demands it. He has got a nice voice. But should work on diction more. He looks like a boy next door. Eesha did very good for a debutant. She is also natural with her performance and looks pleasing with dusky looks. It’s an excellent debut for her as she got a role of substance. Madhubala looks tender even at that age. She is very nice as mother of heroine. She did superb in a post-interval scene where she retorts to Ravi Babu. Rao Ramesh is doing well with father characters in films. Rohini is very homely and you will realize why she is cast in this role during the pre-climax episode of the movie. Ravi Babu is different in a character of gray shades. Srinivas Avasarala has this amazing ability to generate humor out of his diction and body language. His scenes in the film offer big relief. Jhansi plays another pivotal character in this movie after Ashta Chemma.

Technical departments

Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha reviewStory - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is about how a rosy love relationship turns bitter when the couple of thrown into a scenario of commitment and responsibility. Director Mohana Krishna Indraganti who is known for Teluguness and sensibilities has chosen another subject which most of the commercial filmmakers shy away from making. He has introduced characters well and established romance between them. However, few portions involving arguments in the second half are inorganic and appear artificial. A few scenes in first half are poeting (moonlight dating, greeting cards with flowers, birthday wishes etc). Narration of the film is slow (a common comment we do on most of the content driven stories).

Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha reviewOther departments: Music by Kalyani Malik is excellent and most of the songs propel the story. Thene Mullula and all songs in first half are enjoyable. Cinematography by PG Vinda goes well with the the story and complements the mood of the film. Dialogues by Mohana Krishna are very good. I like the engili padatam dialogue (refers both to kiss as well as eating food) and the pun in this dialogue may go unnoticed by current generation of audiences. Art direction by S Ravinder is very good. Producer KL Damodar Prasad is always known for his sensible taste and this film stands as a testament to it.

Analysis
Anthaka Mundu Aa Tarvatha reviewFirst half of the film is entertaining. Second half deals with serious issues. Plus points of the film are clean and realistic storyline, natural performances and music. On the flipside, the conflicts in the second half should have been more organic. Pace should have been better. There is a heart touch episode in the second half of the film. The success of the film will depend on how the audiences embrace that heart touching scene. I am giving 3.25 for this film as it’s a good attempt to make a clean and mature film.
