Telugu films shine at National Level

Telugu films were criticized for not living up to national standard in the last year. This year National Awards have given Telugu film industry something to cheer about. Grahanam (best first film for a director - Indraganti Mohana Krishna), Anji (best special effects - Sanath) and Swarabhishekam (Best music - Vidya Sagar) won awards at national level. Swarabhishekam won at regional level as the best Telugu film.

Speaking to idlebrain.com, Shyam Prasad Reddy (producer of Anji) expressed his immense satisfaction over the award for Anji. K Viswanath said that the awards for Telugu films disproved the notion that Telugu films are not being made on national standards.

Popular singer Chitra and choreographer Prabhudeva also won awards at National level for Autograph (Tamil) and Lakshya (Hindi) respectively.
