National award winning Malayali director Jayaraj completed
shooting 1.11 hr duration film in just 2 hour and
44 minutes at Ramoji film city today. The shooting
started at 11:46 am and completed by 2 pm.

Adbhutham
Adbhutham, fourth in Jayaraj's Navarasa series (other
films are Karnam, Shantam and Bheebhatsa) narrates
the universally relevant theme of life and death.
The etymological meaning of Malayalam word Adbhutham
(basically from Sanskrit) is, something never happened
in past. The film is about the first ever 'euthanasia'
(physician assisted suicide or mercy killing), which
is going to happen in Oregon State of America, the
first state legalized euthanasia.
The
story is about a well known Indian-English dramatist
and writer settled in Oregon, now in his deathbed,
waiting for the mercy of his doctors. Everything is
legally ready to kill him by mercy. Now he has only
one and a half hours left in his life.

Director Jayaraj said, "We completed the
shooting of the entire film in just 2 hour and 14
minutes. There are chances of this film bagging a
place in Guinness Book of World Records for being
the film shot in shortest time. Euthanasia patients
Tory (USA) and Venkatesh (Hyderabad) are inspiration
for the story of this film. Suresh Gopi, Lalitha,
Mamatha Mohandas, Lawrence (UK), Chris (Sweden) Emily
(France) and actors from Delhi and Kolkota participated
in the shooting of this film. We held rehearsals for
the past one week. Ashok did the art work for Hospital
set. We shot this film with 3 cameras. The duration
of this film is going to be 71 minutes. D Rama Naidu
attended this shoot as the supervisor. On behalf of
the Government, CC Reddy was appointed as examiner."

Rama Naidu said, "I would be producing a
Malayalam film in the combination of Jayaraj and Suresh
Gopi. I am acting in full length role for a film titled
'Hope'. I am also producing a Hindi film titled 'Hamara
Beti'. The film with Jayaraj is going to be 100% commercial
film. Jayaraj narrated the story of Adbhutham in Goa
Film Festival and told me that he would make it in
5 hours of time."
