Nara Rohith (son of Ram Murthy Naidu, the brother of TDP leader Nara Chandra Babu Naidu) is making his debut as a hero with the film titled Banam. C Aswini Dutt who launched many leading stars like Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan Teja is launching Nara Rohith. Banam is slated for a release on September 16. Here is an exclusive interview with this passionate actor -

Educational qualification:
I completed my B. Tech. in Industrial Bio Technology at Anna University, Chennai. Then I went to USA to do a course in acting at NYFA (New York Film Academy), New York followed by filmmaking course at Los Angeles.

When did the acting bug bit you?
My father used to urge me to get into acting when I was in my +2. The acting bug started when I was doing my engineering. I asked pedda nanna (Chandra Babu Naidu) about his suggestion. He said that I should get proper training in professional institute before making my debut. As per his advice, I joined NYFA to hone my skills in acting. After completion of my course, pedda nanna asked me to meet C Aswini Dutt. Chaitanya Dantuluri narrated me the story of Banam and I liked it. That’s how my debut film happened.

What is Banam film all about?
Banam film is about a youngster called Bhagat. I play an intense graduate called Bhagat in Ranasthali (a fictitious town). The story of the movie is about how Bhagat achieves his goal irrespective of adverse situations.

How different is learning in film institute and acting in real films?
Learning in film school makes us wiser in terms of what to expect when acting in film. If an actor is professionally trained in a film institute, it makes the job of director easy. Film institute training also got me rid of camera fear.

We have seen actors turning politicians. You are venturing into film industry as you come from a family of political lineage?
Passion for cinema brought me into films.

Tell us about the producer?
Aswini Dutt is the producer who made great films with legends in the past and he is continuing to deliver hits with young generation of actors. Seshu Priyanka Chalasani is a passionate film producer. She is actively looking into postproduction and marketing of the movie.

Tell us about the director Chaitanya Dantuluri?
Chaitanya is an intense filmmaker. He knows what he is doing. He has got tremendous grip of directorial skills.

Tell us about music?
I am a fan of Mani Sharma and he composed damn good music for Banam. It is one of the best albums of Mani Sharma. My favourite tunes in this movie are Mogindi Je Ganta and Nalo Nenena.

What do you think are your strengths and weakness as an actor?
My strengths are good voice and screen presence. I will learn and improve. Learning is a continuous process.

What kind of movies do you like?
I like romantic comedies. I also like war epics and sports-based movies.

What is your dream role?
I would love to do Pouranika films. My favourite character is Duryodhana.

You have lots of relatives as heroes in film industry. What is their reaction?
I met my relatives in person and also spoke to them over phone. Everybody encouraged me. I will seek their suggestions/tips once Banam movie is released.

What is your next project?
I am currently listening to scripts. My next movie is not finalized yet.
