Inorbit Mall, Cyberabad which is ranked as the 7th most stunning mall in India by Rediff got completeness to it when Cinemax opened six-screen multiplex on the top floor. This multiplex is launched on 1st June 2012. Here is the first impression I have got when I visited this multiplex to watch The Avengers 3D on sunday.
You have to take the elevators 3 and 4 from the cellar to go to the entrance of the multiplex. If you take the lifts 1 and 2, you may end up walking a lot when you reach the top floor. The multiplex is chick with red color dominating everywhere. There are six screens in the multiplex and total capacity of entire multiplex is 947 seats (price is each ticket is Rs 150/-). The capacity of each screen is aproximately 160.
Since Avngers is a 3D film, the guy has charged me Rs. 20/- as non-refundale service fee (in all other multiplexes, they charge you Rs. 100/- as security deposite and return you the money after you return the glasses). My screen was no.4 and and I got a seat which is in the 3rd row from the front. The steps are steep. Screen is small, but offers wonderful resolution. I felt comfortable watching the movie even though I was sitting so close to the screen. The seats are extremely comfortable and of high quality. The cup hoders are big enough to hold samsung galaxy note. The interiors are chick and leg room is very good. The sound system is excellent.
You need to be very careful with the vendors in multiplexes. I always make sure that I am careful, but somehow get duped. The fountain coke is 85/- and tin coke is 50/-. The vendor told me that he will take the order and service it to my seat. I ordered the tin and he ended up giving me foutain coke. I was in no mood to argue as I was watching movie and ended up paying more.
Since all the screens are so small (160 capacity each compared to 400 capacity screens in Prasads), you find it difficult to get tickets unless you book them in advance. The location is great as it's the only multiplex in the vicinity of Madhapur and Gachibowli area.
Final word: Cinemax, Cyberabad is an excellent multiplex if you are ok with the screen size.
