Cute hero Nitin is currently working for Satyam Sivam Sundaram which deals with strategic thinking than flexing muscles. He is very optimistic about the film and feels that audience expect him to do this kind of roles. Idlebrain.com met with Nitin when he was shooting for a song at Padmalaya studios. Here are the excerpts -
Tell us about the progress of Satyam Sivam Sundaram?
90% of the shooting of talkie part of the film is complete. Climax fight is pending. Today we are finishing the shooting of 3rd song. We still got to shoot two more songs in abroad. Dubbing of the film is going on now. Audio is expected by this month end and we are planning to release the film in July.
Tell us about your character?
People might think that I am doing three roles of Satyam, Sivam and Sundaram. But I am doing only one role in the film. Title is related to the concept of the film. The title has got nothing to do with my character’s name though I am doing the role of Satya Narayana Murthy. It is basically underplayed character which would suddenly elevate at a later point of time. I never played this kind of character in my earlier films.
What interested you in the script?
The main reason why I am doing this film is screenplay. Story of the film is pretty old one. It was amazing the way screenplay is written.
You played the role of boy next door in most of your films. What kind of characterization this film will have?
My character is boy next door in the entire first half. But it will change in second half.
Tell us about your co-star Meera Chopra?
Generally we don’t have important roles for heroine character in the films we make in Telugu film industry. The heroine character is very important in this film. She is there in most of the scenes starting from titles to the climax. It also requires tremendous performance for which Meera Chopra is doing justice.
You have got three hits in you career (Jayam, Dil and Sye). You did not get hits after that? What is the reason?
There are plenty of reasons for films which did not run well. But nobody blamed me that films did not do well because of me. I did a few old-formatted films which audiences rejected bluntly. My last film Ram was a heavy-duty action film. Audiences expect lighter vein action films from me unlike Ram film. I liked Dhairyam film. But it flopped because of the climax. My films which are having too much of mass elements are not doing well. I want to choose roles that suit my age. I will make sure that action part in my film is sensible and with in limits.
What is going to be your next film?
I am listening to stories on daily basis. I have not got across any interesting projects so far.
What happened to your studies?
I dropped out of college after 1st year of engineering. I am not interested in studies at all.
What kind of films you want to do?
I want to do lighter vein films with light action episodes. I want to do semi-class and semi-mass films (neither totally class not totally mass).
Did you get any feedback about your dubbing?
Yes. I got bad feedback about my dubbing for Sri Anjaneyam. I was also not happy with that dubbing. I am improving from film to film. I can assure you that my dubbing for Satyam Sivam Sundaram will be very satisfactory.
Did you watch any films recently?
I watch almost all Telugu films that are released. I liked Pokiri film a lot among the recent releases. Pokiri offer what present day audience expect from a Telugu film. I loved hero characterization and lighter-vein action.
