The employees of AP Film Federation has fought to great extent in 1996 to get accreditation to AP Film Employees Federation at national level. This federation played a major role in shifting the operations of entire Telugu film industry from Chennai to Hyderabad. The elections of this APFIEF hold a great interest for the future of film industry as 6000 employees belonging to 24 crafts of Telugu film industry do chose their leader democratically. However, this year the working committee of APFIEF declared some names and stated the elections are held unanimously. There is an allegation that the president of the same has not accepted any nomination from others saying that they are disqualified to contest.

On this eve, Tamareddy Bharadwaja - who is regarded as the God Father for the employees various crafts in Film Industry - has come forward to protest about the undemocratic attitude of the leader Paruchuri Gopala Krishna and other members O Kalyan and Tanduri Prabhakar on today's morning (9th August) at AP Film Chambers. Leaders of 16 crafts out of 24 crafts joined hands with Tammareddy to denounce the unanimous declaration.

Hotshot directors Krishnavamsi and Teja also gave their support. Krishna Vamsi said that he was vexed with the undemocratic attitude of the leaders and hence wanted Tammareddy to take the movement forward. Teja said that its sad to see the lives of 6000 employees and their families depend on some drunkards who come to the sets and ruthlessly stop shootings.

Tammareddy gave a petition to KC Sekhar Babu who represented the producer's counsel. As a counter act to this, Mr. O Kalyan has called for a pressmeet tomorrow at 10 am. We have to wait and see what's the version of official leaders of APFIEF
