Scoring a clean hatrick with Ready, Seenu Vytla, believes that the success had further enhanced his responsibilities as director. “It (Success of Ready) has brought more expectations on King. I clearly caught the pulse of the audience… as to say, what sort of film they really expect from me? King will surpass their anticipation. Like Ready, King will have all emotions. Brahmanandam will have even more captivating role,” he said. He spoke to the media about his priorities as director, handling of comedy and introspection. Writer Gopi Mohan was at his side, cheering all through, assisting him put forth his feelings – connecting the missed links and leftover points.

                   Entertainment is my mantra
The recent years and my projects made me consider the Entertainment as the secret of my success. Simply, I have learnt not to do a film without entertainment. The three films – Dhee, Dubai Seenu and Ready – helped me a lot in identifying the priorities of the audiences. I had some doubts about certain aspects in my own films. Now, they were fully answered. I will not be shedding the trend at any time. As a director, I shall be the first person to feel happy if my producer gets his money. There were instances where I bailed out the films (like Dhee) when they went beyond the control of its producer. I am not for money alone. I am content with my work and life - always thinking about my projects one after the other, thanks to my excellent team. Coming to Dubai Seenu, as a director I dealt the subject at random. I frankly admit – the movie was not up to the range of the openings it got. That film worked as a big hype to Ready.
Influence of Manirathnam & Ramgopal Varma
My fascination for Manirathnam and Ramgopal Varma is unending. Though the audiences don’t find any of their influence on me, I do feel it. If everything comes well in my way, I might consider making a film touching the finesse of their style. For instance, the audience can find the influence of a Manirathnam in Ready – when the heroine narrates her conditions to the hero, the ambience and all. Long back, we (with his team member Gopi Mohan) tried a film on the lines of Ramgopal Varma – giving it the title Aparichitudu (not Vikram’s film). But it got shelved soon.
                  Less remuneration & more budget-friendly
The remuneration I take is very less. Better say, it’s reasonable. You don’t find any lavish sets in my film. Just, I take the cast and crew, find my own natural sets. All this will surely be a big saving to the producer. Take my film Venky. When I took that movie, already its producer had given some advances to some people based on his preferences. How can I be held responsible for that? It had just three segments – Train episode, Vizag and climax. So where’s the question of getting loss? It even made good business – more than Ravi Teja’s previous film Veede. Venky also helped Ravi Teja to have the first biggest openings in his career - for Dubai Seenu. Even I took very less fee for King, the figure I committed to before the release of Ready. (This Vytla said in the wake of rumors that he is taking remuneration to the tune of Rs. 5 Crore.)
Prakash Raj’s remuneration = Array of Artistes
I give a lot of importance to characters in my films. Characterization is the King. With the remuneration of a single artiste like Prakash Raj, I can get a big line of artistes for my film. All their remuneration collectively doesn’t equal a Prakash Raj’s. You don’t find much importance to the heroes in my films from Venky to Ready. All characters sound important. This will help break the monotony; and bring lively entertainment to the audience. This is possible only when you have a powerful story. If you don’t have it, you should have a different treatment (or screenplay). Without a powerful story, powerful treatment is not possible without characterization. My past experience taught me to consider commercial treatment of the subject rather than breaking head for novelty. This is what you find in Ready, latest.
                  Nagarjuna’s King as Hero-centric
I always wanted the title to be King for Nag’s film. I underplayed heroism in my films even up to Ready. This I can’t do for Nagarjuna. He is a hero with a big image. But, I have every care not to miss the trademark of my treatment. Definitely, it will reach the expectations of all audiences. Nag gave me full freedom to handle the project in tune with my timing. He said he would do things according to my style to catch the timing factor. This helped me a lot.
                  Brahmanandam to Audience (in King)
I can’t express exactly, but he (Brahmanandam) has become a big asset to my films. He likes me very much and I like him a lot. Our wavelengths in comedy matched perfectly. His comedy in Ready is more powerful than all other films. In King, he is going to provide the best ever. But, it would be too early to disclose. Same is the case with Trisha.
