| 10 March 2010 My Movie – Ye Maya Chesave
Its been a very very long time we had a pure love story in Telugu since Geetanjali which came in 1989. Twenty Years Long. Did anybody knew that it takes a generation from the same Akkineni family to come up with another scintillating and heart touching movie that will be categorized with Geetanjali. The Direction by Goutham, Music by AR Rahman, Cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, and the Natural Action by Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are the highlights of the movie. When i first saw the movie pictures and wall papers on the internet i became very anxious and once the music was released it increased my anticipation. I could not wait to watch this movie. Finally, the wait was more than worth it. The movie was so well made you can just realize that by thinking about these scenes:
                    1) The way boy talks with the girl and proposes about his love - this was so naturally picturised. You will be shocked thinking that did he already do that, did he propose already. It happens so quickly.
 2) The scene in kerala where the Boy and the Girl talk on the wooden dock by the river. The boy starts praising the girl, wooing her, saying how beautiful she is and the girl starts blushing. It was so natural and awesome. Samantha was amazing in that scene.

 3) The scene where the boy sits with the audience in the girls marriage and the moment girl breaks the marriage and leaves. You generally expect that something dramatic is going to happen. But it was so differently made. This shows the ability of the director.

 4) The scene where the girl confirms her love and the way boy reacts was made so well and again shows the director's brilliance. Naga Chaitanya acted very well.

 5) The break up between the girl and the boy.

 6) And obviously the climax scene where the boy and the girl meet again in NY. The way they talk about each other and finally decide to get married and live together. Great way to end.
Naga Chaitanya's performance was very good. He acted precisely as needed for his role - Natural, cool, boyish acting. But, the problem is in Telugu Industry he wont be getting these kind of roles very often. To be successful in a commercial cinema he needs to improve his dance, fights and mass elements. But i hope he picks up good sensible stories and be successful like his father. Samantha. wow. she came as a lightning storm into Telugu Cinema. One of the best debuts. She really weaved magic. Yentha Maya Chesave. She is gorgeous and awesome. I am hoping that she would regularly act in Telugu Movies and mesmerize us. Now, I cannot wait for the movie Brindavanam to release, so that i can see this beauty again on the big screen. AR Rahman, Is there anything left to say about him. The Oscar winner and the Grammy winner. Every music album he makes creates ripples in the industry. There are so many movies that were a hit just because of his music. Finally the Director, Goutham Menon. He was brilliant. Some of my friends told about him but i never got a chance to watch his movies earlier. After watching this movie i realize how many good movies i might have missed. It makes me go back and watch all the previous movies he made. Kumarkumarcs14 at gmail dot com
