Kishore (Sai Ronak) is the son of a farmer Narayana (CVL Narasimha Rao). Narayna is fascinated by the sons/daughter of his relatives going to the USA and settling over there. His only aim is to send Kishore to the USA. Unfortunately, Kishore’s visa gets rejected. Kishore comes to Hyderabad to try again. He befriends an aged couple (Tanikella Bharani and Sangeetha) in the apartment complex. Their kids are settled in the USA. Rest of the story is all about how Kishore realises that he can become big by not going to the USA and also how he convinces his father about it.
Actors: Sai Ronak has grown a slight beard in this film. He looks good and acts well. Preethi Asrani looks pretty decent and acts well. Tanikella Bharani got very good characters and he excels. Sangeetha is very good as a mother of the USA settled kids. Rahul Ramakrishna has been choosing good roles in small films. He did the role of a friend who brings his friends to reality with his commentary. CVL Narasimha Rao is alright as the USA-frenzied father. Rahul Sipliganj acted in a cameo as himself during end titles. Ravi Varma is good as half-hearted NRI son who is dominated by wife..
Story - screenplay - direction: It’s an idealistic story with good values. Directors duo Sushil - Sujoy made this film like an independent film. We have been seeing US-centric films made occasionally in Hyderabad since Dollar Dreams. The basic arch of the story is interesting. But, the way the story is narrated should have been more engaging. Tanikella Bharani episodes in the second half are good and create an emotional impact. However, the USA characters in this film are shown in a completely negative way (can see the similar treatment in Shatamanam Bhavathi and Pratiroju Pandage too). America should be the backdrop to a story, America shouldn’t be the story. There are several threads in the film - love story, father-son conflict, camaraderie with friends. The director hasn’t fully exploited any of these threads. He should have made it as a pure father/son conflict or pure love story and then could have kept American visa as the backdrop. And lots of scenes in the film are repetitive. 
Other departments: Cinematography by Nagesh Banell is okay. Music is done by several music directors. The rap done by Rahul Shilpiganj at the end puts us in a good mood. Dialogues written are alright. Editing is decent. Production values are adequate.
Analysis: The process of bringing cinema to the audience has been changing dynamically with time. Pressure Cooker is a film that is made with noble thoughts and done in an honest way. However, It has gone wrong in many ways. The title Pressure cooker didn’t attract the attention of the people. Lack of promotions brought down visibility to the film. People can judge a film only after getting attracted to the theaters. Pressure Cooker failed to create any buzz. Though made on a very relevant topic, the film lacks the contemporary touch. However, there are quite a few identifiable factors that are discussed in the film.
